About Marisol
Marisol Vega started reselling the way most people do: by accident. A cleared-out closet turned into a weekend of Marketplace listings, and a $2 garage-sale lamp turned into a $40 sale and a new habit. Years later she still gets up early on Saturdays to see what is sitting on folding tables around Yolo County.
At The Roll-Up Door she writes the practical side of resale: how to write a listing a stranger will trust, how to research what something is worth before pricing it, how to photograph it with a phone, and how to keep twenty items from turning into a garage you cannot walk through.
She is a firm believer that the boring parts of selling are where the money is, and that honest descriptions sell better than clever ones. Lately she has been testing how everyday AI tools can take the grind out of writing listings and buyer replies without making them sound like robots, as long as a human still checks every word.
Writes about: Listings, pricing, product photos, buyer messages, inventory systems, side-business planning.
- Early-morning garage sales and flea markets
- Writing listings that answer every question in the first two lines
- Sold-listing research and pricing spreadsheets
- Putting everyday AI tools to work on the tedious parts of selling
- Helping first-time sellers make their first sale
- Mystery objects nobody can identify (yet)
